Waterfront Access & Trail Plan

The Village of Ossining Waterfront Access & Trail Plan, produced in 2011, is a comprehensive document containing site-specific recommendations for improvements to the Village's three miles of Hudson River waterfront, with the goal of enhancing its capacity to serve as a recreational destination. The Plan also identified potential alignments for the Westchester RiverWalk trail along Ossining's waterfront as well as interconnections with existing Village trails, including those located in the Crawbuckie Nature Preserve and the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail. The Plan is the product of collaboration between the Village's Waterfront Visioning Committee, consultants Munz Associates Architecture & Landscape Architecture, PLLC and E.M. Weinstein Architecture & Planning, P.C., and the Village of Ossining Department of Planning. The project was funded via grants from the NYS Hudson River Valley Greenway and the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation's Hudson River Estuary Program.
