Board of Ethics

The Village’s Board of Ethics has the power to receive and investigate complaints regarding alleged violations of the Village’s Code of Ethics, the General Municipal Law or any other law relating to the ethical conduct of municipal officers and employees. The BOE also may issue advisory opinions to municipal officers and employees of the Village with respect to Article 18 of the General Municipal Law and the Village’s Code of Ethics.

Term of Office 3 Year Term

Membership/ Appointment The BOE consists of no less than three and no more than five members, appointed by the Board of Trustees. At least three of the members must be residents of the Village. The other two members can be residents of Westchester County. At least one member of the BOE shall not be a lawyer. The BOE Chairperson must be an attorney.
