The purpose of the Code Board of Appeals (CBD) is to allow property owners, managers, tenants, etc. to challenge Orders to Remedy issued by the Village’s Building Department regarding dangerous and/or defective conditions under Chapter 95 (“Buildings and Structures, Unsafe and Demolition of”) or Chapter 162 (“Housing/Property Maintenance and Building Code Administration”). The CBA will hear such challenges and may reject, modify or affirm the Order to Remedy.
Term of Office 2 Year Term
Membership/ Appointment Composed of 5 Village residents, appointed by Village Manager; Under Local Law 9-2017, members to serve no more than two consecutive terms and must have 75% attendance.
