Weather Advisory Alert 4/2 & 4/3

Please be advised of a weather alert for tonight into tomorrow. If you experience any power outages, please contact ConEdison at 1(800)-75-CONED.  Please report any downed wires to ConEdison and the Ossining Police Department.  Please avoid and stay clear from all downed wires. Update from the National Weather Service
A rapidly intensifying low pressure system accompanied by its arctic cold front will sweep east across the region late Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The frontal passage will be accompanied by damaging west winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph and snow showers and snow squalls.
A High Wind Warning is in effect over land and a Storm Warning for wind gusts up to 55 knots is in effect over coastal waters from Midnight Tonight until Noon Sunday.

Winds will gradually decrease Sunday afternoon, but wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph are still expected.

Additionally, snow showers and/or snow squalls are likely late Saturday night into early Sunday.  Combined with strong winds and dropping temperatures, brief white-out conditions and hazardous road conditions are possible.  Potential for a quick 1 to 2 inches of snow exists across the Lower Hudson Valley and Southern Connecticut, with a coating of 1 inch or less for Northeast New Jersey, New York City and Long Island.
