The Ossining Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting Westchester Convention and Parade
The Ossining Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting the 102nd Annual Westchester County Volunteer Fireman’s Convention Business Meeting and Dress Parade. The business meeting will be held at the Ossining Public Library on Thursday evening, September 18, 2008. The Association will be presenting the 2008 Fireman of the Year Award during the business meeting.
The dress parade will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008. The parade will begin at 4:00pm at the intersection of Croton Ave and Calam Ave. The parade route will proceed west on Croton Ave (Route 133). The parade will cross Route 9 and then proceed west on Main St and will end at the Ossining train station.
The Ossining Volunteer Fire Department is expecting some 55+ fire and EMS units from the region to participate in the parade. There will be 40+ marching bands participating as well as more than 100 pieces of fire apparatus and ambulances in the parade.
The Ossining Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite the public to view the parade as it winds down Croton Ave and Main St.
