Presents Visual Celebration of Ossining to the Town and Village

(November 26, 2008) Ossining Village Mayor William R. Hanauer announces the donation and exhibit of photographic works by Mark Sadan.  Sadan a professional film producer and photographer who has lived in Ossining for over 25 years, has created a visual celebration of Ossining.  Mayor Hanauer said “Sadan’s work will further enhance the quality of life by enlivening the walls of our Post Office, making each trip to our wonderful Post Office a little more enjoyable”.

These images Sadan has given to the Town and Village which have been presented to the Ossining Post Office in the form of an on-going exhibit for the viewing pleasure of all who enter therein and will be unveiled at a Press Preview on Monday, December 1st from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Ossining Post Office, Main Street.

The exhibit consists of three collages of the portraits of people from the Village of Ossining and will include 2007 and 2008 Village Fair images, sports, as well as a panoramic of Main Street and scenic views of this river town.  Mark Sadan will be present at the opening.  The printing and framing of this exhibit was made possible by small grants from local businesses and organizations.  Mark Sadan, who travels extensively throughout the world, and is widely published and exhibited, sees this installation as a small way of saying thank you for the place he calls “home.”

Official unveiling will take place on Friday, December 5th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. during Ossining’s First Friday Celebration.
