Last Call for applicants interested in the Downtown Development Fund Council.

We will be accepting applications until Friday, February 12 at the close of business day.

The Village of Ossining is looking for a volunteer to serve on the Downtown Development Fund Council. The individual must be a resident of the Village and will be appointed to a two-year term by the Village Board of Trustees. Interested individuals should send a letter of interest and resume by Friday, February 12, 2016 to Village Manager Abraham Zambrano via email.

The Downtown Development Fund Council consists of five members, four of which are appointed by the Village Board of Trustees, one of which is assigned by the developer of the Harbor Square project located along Ossining's Hudson River waterfront. The role of the Downtown Development Fund Council is administration of the "Downtown Development Fund" which consists of reviewing proposed expenditures involving fund deposits and making subsequent recommendations to the Village Board of Trustees. The Fund is a dedicated special purpose fund to be used for improving the Village's downtown and waterfront areas, such as potential grant matches for public improvements and participation in public-private partnership activity, with the goal of increased economic development and sustainability and the encouragement of public access and use of the Village's waterfront.
