The Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining announce a search for candidates to fill the unexpired term of Mayor-elect William R. Hanauer

Ossining, NY, December 11, 2006 The Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining are accepting resumes from candidates to fill the Trustee position for the unexpired term of Mayor-elect Bill Hanauer.  The Board seek to select from the broadest possible spectrum of Village residents.

The Board of Trustees is the legislative arm of Village government.  Each Trustee acts as liaison to several committees, commissions, departments, and community organizations. The successful candidate will have interests, talents, and abilities complementary to those of current Board members and must be willing to commit the necessary time and intellectual engagement. 

The position requires Village of Ossining residence.  Remuneration is $8,000 per year plus medical and pension benefits.
