The Village of Ossining is looking for five people to serve on the Village’s Green Building Regulations Work Committee. This committee will be a work committee. The committee will meet every other month and this project is anticipated to take a little over a year to complete. It is anticipated that a committee member will be able to attend the meetings. Access to e-mail is a must. People with knowledge in the development, environmental, real estate, and legal fields are encouraged to apply. Landlord Tenant Relations Council – 2 Year Term
This is a seven member Board appointed by the Board of Trustees. The Landlord-Tenant Relations Council is authorized to conduct research into community housing problems, formulate programs to improve landlord-tenant relations, accumulate statistical information on available housing accommodations, counsel the Board of Trustees on landlord-tenant problems and disputes and recommend programs for the solution of same and resolve problems and disputes between landlords and tenants through mediation and discussion at meetings of the council.
Mid-Hudson Ambulance Committee – 3 Year Term
Interest in Community Ambulance services
This is a seven member board, the Village representative is appointed by the Board of Trustees. This is a Village of Ossining, Town of Ossining and Town of New Castle committee that meets quarterly to review services and financials of the vendor providing services (currently OVAC.)
Zoning Board of Appeals – 5 Year Term
This Board hears appeals from decisions of the Building Inspector and is charged with interpreting the Village’s Zoning Code. This is a five member board, Appointed by the Village Manager. Generally, this Board meets monthly, on the 3rd Monday.
