Ossining Farmers Market
What: Ossining’s Down to Earth Farmers Market   Indulge your sweetie’s sweet tooth with treats from the farmers market this Valentine’s Day. Meredith’s Country Baker will have their usual wide variety of breads and baked goods, plus special Valentine’s Day cookies and cupcakes (and don’t forget their gluten-free options!). For old fashioned treats, look to Migliorelli Farm for cider doughnuts and sweet, crisp apples. Nana’s Home Kitchen makes old world style baklava by hand and Wave Hill Breads has buttery croissants – a must-have for a romantic breakfast in bed. The Feedback Loop hosted by Ossining Innovates!
What: Ossining Innovates! introduces The Feedback Loop as an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to share what they are working on, test their assumptions, gain insight and inspiration from the community, and make new connections. Think of it as a friendly "Pitch Contest" before your ready for the Pitch. All budding entrepreneurs, seasoned entrepreneurs looking to help others and anyone just interested in ideas being presented are welcome! We'll hear from Peter Stafford about his idea for software to teach math concepts through art  and from Mary Howard who is working on opening a children's toy and book store with a community feel.

Hui-Mei-Lin, Pianist performs Mozart, Ravel, Tower, MacDonald, Brahms, and Granados
What:  Dr.Hui-Mei-Lin is a concert pianist who made her New York solo debut at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as the winner of the Artists International Competition. She was described by The New York Times as “an excellent pianist throughout” and The Taiwan News as “a sensitive and powerful pianist.” Concert tours have taken her to Italy, Canada, Taiwan, including two concerts at the National Concert Hall in Taipei sponsored by the Taiwanese government, and various cities throughout the United States. Her media broadcasts include solo performances at PBS (Maryland), WQXR (New York City), Taiwan Television and the China Broadcasting Company. She maintains an active performing career. Dr. Lin received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Hartt School of Music, a Master of Music from the Juilliard School a Doctoral of Musical Arts degree from the Graduate School of the CUNY. Dr. Lin is currently a faculty member at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT where she teaches studio piano and co-directs two choirs. In addition she is the Music Director for the Briarcliff Congregational Church where she directs the Senior Choir, Cherub and Youth Choirs, and the Holiday Choir. She also oversees the Heim Memorial Concert Series. She resides in Westchester County with her husband, composer and choral director, Peter Frost.

Ray Blue Trio, Return to WCT’s Jazz Masters Series
What:  On Saturday, February 10, the Jazz Masters Series of Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will welcome a return appearance by the world-renowned Ray Blue Trio, featuring jazz artist/composer/arranger and saxophonist Ray Blue of Peekskill, a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee who has toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. Crafters and Quilters Retreat: Prepare for the Spring Fanfare
What: Calling all crafters and quilters to start an early spring cleaning! Gather your paints, yarn, and fabric scraps. Use them to create a simple colorful fan, quilt, wall-hanging, table runner, weaving, or painting to celebrate the coming of Spring. We will pray, work, and play in sync with the season. What: MITS is a free, self-guided walking tour and consists of 25 numbered panels with images and explanatory text about the architecturally and historically significant buildings within the Downtown Ossining Historic District.

Where: The tour starting point is located on the north side of the Ossining Open Door Medical Center at 247 Main St. in Downtown Ossining. However visitors one can also begin at any of the numbered panels and take as few or as many panels as desired.

Briarcliff Library's Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
What: This group of high school students makes fun events happen for their peers at the public library and take part in everything from brainstorming, to planning, to advertising, to setting up and finally to enjoying the great event! Also help us serve you and your peers better by recommending what you think we should have at the library. We are always open to any new projects that you think TAB and the library should take on so that the library is a welcoming place for high school students. Meetings are held at the library on the first Sunday of the month from 4 - 5 PM. Shorter meetings are held on Thursdays after school in the cafeteria at Briarcliff High School. You do not need to attend all meetings to be a member. Come to what you can and let your voice be heard!

Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) is launching a full and diverse slate of eight-session acting classes
What:  Scene and Monologue Study with Bob Rogerson, an in-depth study of the craft of acting designed for the intermediate and advanced actor. Tuition is $340/ $295 for WCT members.  Acting for Camera with Matt Lagle, designed to familiarize students with on-camera work and, if desired, prepare audition reels. Tuition is $340/ $295 for WCT members.  Improvisation for Theater and for Fun with Jim Brownold, to help experienced actors, new actors and non-actors trust their instinctive creativity through a fun and inventive avenue of expression. Dances of Universal Peace
What:  The Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) set scriptures and sacred phrases from the world’s spiritual traditions to music and movement. The Dances evoke a unified experience of movement, sound, breath, and sacred phrase. No musical or dance experience of any kind is required and everyone is encouraged to join in.
When:  March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, July 3, & Aug. 7, 2018 from 7 to 8:30 pm

Reflection/Discussion Series: Becoming a Spiritual ‘Midwife’
What:  Topics include: paths to personal growth, ways to soften our hearts, letting go, moving through losses and sorrows, sharing God’s promise, sacred teachings about Sophia Wisdom and connections that bind us to Earth and the Cosmos.
