Ossining Farmers Market
What: On Saturday the Ossining Farmers Market will welcome back Taliaferro Farm for their 27th year in Ossining. The Taliaferro family grows organic produce in New Paltz, NY. Anna Maria’s Foods and Buli Olive Oil will visit; Anna Maria’s Foods with northern Italian style sauces and jams and Buli Olive Oil with estate-made extra virgin oil from Italy. Also this week, we are very excited to welcome Sunset View Farm’s expansion into SVF Kitchen, exclusively at the Ossining Farmers Market. This summer they will be cooking a range of farm-fresh, pasture-raised meats to eat on site or take home for a quick and easy meal. Sunset View will kick things off with a whole roasted pig this Saturday. Starting at 11am they will have shredded pork in sandwiches on Bread Alone breads and by the half- and whole-pound.

Ossining Upper Elementary PTA 3rd Annual Variety Show
What: Join us for the 3rd annual Ossining Upper Elementary PTA Variety Show. This fun show featuring students from Claremont and Roosevelt will be a great time for the whole family. Westchester Collaborative Theater Presents Five-Piece Jazz Band Les Hommes de Cave
What: On Saturday, June 2, Les Hommes de Cave, a five-piece, edgy jazz band featuring Ossining resident Ann Gulian as lead vocalist will perform in Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)’s Jazz Masters Series.  Les Hommes de Cave performs mainstream jazz that mixes classic standards with influences from Haiti, Brazil and American R&B and explores a broad range of music through the lens of be-bop and post be-bop traditions. The members are Philippe Charles on bass; Graham Gulian on drums; Rik Kaufman on piano; Jeremy Kattell on Sax; and Dan Williams on trombone.

The Sting, the play
What: Theater O is delighted to return to Bethany with our production of The Sting. With gender-blind casting (seventh-grader Audrey Schnecker plays Johnny Hooker, the Robert Redford role), this show encapsulates the slick and sassy world of the 1930s con.  Working with unique staging (audience on two sides) and fun choreography and music, the play will delight audiences of all ages.

Summer Evening Cruise on the Hudson River
What: Enjoy a summer evening aboard the “Evening Star” for a 3-hour sightseeing cruise on the Hudson River. What: MITS is a free, self-guided walking tour and consists of 25 numbered panels with images and explanatory text about the architecturally and historically significant buildings within the Downtown Ossining Historic District.

What: This group of high school students makes fun events happen for their peers at the public library and take part in everything from brainstorming, to planning, to advertising, to setting up and finally to enjoying the great event! Also help us serve you and your peers better by recommending what you think we should have at the library. We are always open to any new projects that you think TAB and the library should take on so that the library is a welcoming place for high school students. Meetings are held at the library on the first Sunday of the month from 4 - 5 PM. Shorter meetings are held on Thursdays after school in the cafeteria at Briarcliff High School. You do not need to attend all meetings to be a member. Come to what you can and let your voice be heard!

What:  Scene and Monologue Study with Bob Rogerson, an in-depth study of the craft of acting designed for the intermediate and advanced actor. Tuition is $340/ $295 for WCT members.  Acting for Camera with Matt Lagle, designed to familiarize students with on-camera work and, if desired, prepare audition reels. Tuition is $340/ $295 for WCT members.  Improvisation for Theater and for Fun with Jim Brownold, to help experienced actors, new actors and non-actors trust their instinctive creativity through a fun and inventive avenue of expression. What: Scene and Monologue Study, a deeper study of the craft of acting designed for intermediate and advanced actors. Mondays 4/30/18 - 6/25/18 Acting for Camera II: Web Series is an advanced acting for the camera class centered around the creation of an original web series, featuring scripts written for participants by WCT playwrights. What: Volunteers for a hospitality program at the Sing Sing Correctional facility that is held
When: Saturdays, Sundays, and most major holidays; from 8am to 11 am or 12pm to 2:30pm.

Meet characters of five old testament stories at BCC Vacation Bible School
What:  Interactive morning Bible camp Ages 5-10 yrs
When: August 20th- 24th.  8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where:  Briarcliff Congregational Church- Parish Hall, 30 So. State Rd., Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510 (corner of Pleasantville/So State and Elm Rds)
Info: This program will take your children on a different adventure each day where they will hear stories and meet characters from five Old Testament stories. This program will be fun and interactive. There will be singing, arts and crafts, cartoons, and games. It will be run by Rev. Todd Farnsworth and the staff and volunteers of BCC. While this program is for 5-10 yr olds, older children may attend as 'no fee' volunteer counselors. This program is open to the community so bring a friend! Both breakfast and a snack will be served each day. Cost is $20 per child with a max of $40 per family. Scholarships available.

Kids Photo Contest! Cash prizes!
What:  Themed photo contest ages K-12.  Open to the public.
When: Begins May 1st to May 31st
Where:  Briarcliff Congregational Church- Parish Hall, 30 So. State Rd., Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510 (corner of Pleasantville/So State and Elm Rds)
Info: The Briarcliff Congregational Church is excited to give Children, Tweens and Teens in our community an opportunity to express themselves through photography. There will be 3 grade groups: K-2nd, 3rd-6th, 7th-12th grades, and 3 themes for the photos: Acts of Kindness, Seeing God in Nature, and Love. (These can portray any faith.) Contestants may submit one photo for each theme. Photos must be submitted via email to:  BCCphotos1@gmail.com no later than May 31st. Each email must contain only one photo in .jpg format and have the following information: Child's name, grade, phone number, parent's name and the theme of the photo. Judging will be done by a panel from the Briarcliff Congregational Church and announced on June 12th, 2018.  A notice will be posted on our website and submitted to the Ossining Web Blast. All photo entries will be exhibited on Sunday, June 17th, 2018 at Briarcliff Congregational Church Fellowship Hall between Noon and 4 p.m. A $100 cash prize will be awarded to the winner of EACH grade group. The Fine Print: by entering the contest the applicant and parent agree to allow the photo to be displayed at the exhibit on June 17, 2018 as well as on our website and in print.
