The Science of Climate Change & Local Solutions
What: Join Speak Easy 10562, Green Ossining and the Climate Reality Project Westchester Chapter for a presentation of “The Science of Climate Change & Local Solutions."  On November 20-21, Climate Reality is presenting 24 Hours of Reality: Truth in Action, a global conversation on the truth of the climate crisis and how we solve it. For one full 24-hour period, Climate Reality Leader volunteers trained by former Vice President Al Gore will hold public presentations and conversations on our changing climate in schools, community centers, workplaces, and more across all 50 US states and countries worldwide.

Ossining's Thanksgiving Dinner
What: THANKSGIVING DINNER - for the 34rd year, the Ossining Presbyterian Church, 34 South Highland Avenue (opposite the Ossining High School) will be the scene of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner party. Everyone is invited! Last year, more than 200 meals were served, some of which were delivered to home-bound folks.
When: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28 at noon.
Where: Presbyterian Church, 34 S. Highland Avenue, opposite the Ossining High School.
Info: The menu is home-made traditional, with the highlight being roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and yummy apple and pumpkin pies. The Scarborough Presbyterian Church, The Briarcliff Congregational Church, and The Ossining Presbyterian Church work together to make this happen and many community friends pitch in to help. No charge for the meal - just come!

Ossining Historical Society Museum
What: Ossining Historical Society Military History Genealogy Program Speaker: Joyce Sharrock Cole
Interested in researching your family members military history? Come learn how to develop and execute an effective research plan for obtaining military records. This discussion will reveal invaluable online/offline resources and tips on how to get past those dreaded words "the file burned in a fire" from the National Archives. Joyce has successfully researched her family members’ service records and will share her tips with attendees. 
***At the conclusion of the program we will be picking the lucky winner of our fall 50/50 fundraiser.

Ossining’s Museum in the Streets (MITS)
What: MITS is a free, self-guided walking tour and consists of 25 numbered panels with images and explanatory text about the architecturally and historically significant buildings within the Downtown Ossining Historic District. 
When: On a 24/7 basis
Where: The tour starting point is located on the north side of the Ossining Open Door Medical Center at 247 Main St. in Downtown Ossining. However visitors one can also begin at any of the numbered panels and take as few or as many panels as desired.

Green Ossining Launches ‘Green Ossining Sustainability Partnership
Toys for Tots will have a drop off location at Village Hall from November 1 - December 16, 2019.
The donation box will be located inside the Clerk's office on the first floor @ 16 Croton Ave.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fund raising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.

What: Recently furloughed or laid-off? Having trouble making ends meet? We know it's been a difficult year. The Ossining Food Pantry is here to help residents of Ossining and Briarcliff Manor. We are a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to helping our neighbors in need. If you and your family are in need of food assistance, please visit with our friendly volunteers at Trinity Church in downtown Ossining (7 South Highland Avenue.) We distribute non-perishable food items on Thursday evenings (6:30-8:00PM) and Friday mornings (10:00AM-Noon.) We have a warm and welcoming atmosphere. **Please consider making an on-line donation to help Ossining Food Pantry feed our neighbors in need. Dale Cemetery Heritage Trail: A Walk Through Ossining’s History
What: What do Sonny Sharrock, Benjamin Brandreth and Ida Foshay have in common? They are all on the Dale Cemetery Heritage Trail, a free, self-guided tour through Ossining’s historic Dale Cemetery. A project of the Ossining Historic Cemeteries Conservancy, the trail features the stories of prominent individuals and families, as well as those who played a role in everyday Ossining life.Trail Maps are available at trailhead signs located at the cemetery entrances.

Fall Youth Music Program for Kids 4-17
