Historic Preservation Commission
The Historic Preservation Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Village Manager, including but not limited to persons with demonstrated interest or expertise in the field of architecture, planning or history. The Commission is the party responsible for the granting of Certificates of Appropriateness for exterior alterations to locally-designated historic landmarks as well as exterior alterations to existing structures and new construction within the Village's two locally-designated Historical and Archtiectural Design Districts (HADD).
The Commission is also tasked with advising the Planning Board and the Building Inspector in all matters relating the historical and architectural character of historic landmarks within the Village.
