Stash the Trash Program begins on Saturday, April 23rd
The annual "Stash the Trash" event is now a two week long community clean up initiative!  Beginning on Saturday, April 23rd anyone or any group interested in cleaning up Ossining can stop by the Recreation Office at the Community Center, Mondays thru Saturdays, between 9:00am and 5:00pm to sign-in and pick up supplies.  Supplies provided are trash bags, gloves and safety vests...then you are good to go!  Click here for program flyer, and click here for our basic "Stash the Trash" instruction sheet.

Sing Sing Kill Greenway is open!
The new Sing Sing Kill Greenway is open to the public. The walkway can be accessed at two locations, the lower parking lot of the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center and on Central Avenue where it passes over the Sing Sing Kill. The entries are marked with large "Sing Sing Kill Greenway" signs as well as our walkway rules sign.  Please adhere to all walkway rules as posted.  The walkway is open from dawn to dusk. 

Summer Day Camp on-line sign-up is open, In person registration begins the week of April 18th

The Ossining Recreation Summer Day Camp program is currently accepting on-line sign-ups.  In person registration begins the week of April 18th.  Each camp has a specific day next week when in person registration opens.  Please see the Day Camp information from our current program brochure, click here, for dates and times, plus additional camp registration information. 

On-Line Sign-Up for Day Camps: To access our "" on-line registration site, click here.  Important reminders for signing up online:
  1. In order to sign-up on-line a "family/household" account must be set up in advance through our on-line software. 
  2. The child/children being registered must have current Rec ID cards.
  3. Whether you are purchasing a card for the first time or updating a card for your child, you MUST do so in person at the Recreation Office. 
  4. Proof of residency is required each time you purchase/update a Rec ID card.  Please present a picture ID and a utility bill, lease and/or bank/credit card statement with your current address.
2016 Spring Program registration is open!
Our department Spring Program offerings are now open for registration.  Please see our 2016 Spring/Summer Brochure for program information.  Reminder, do not wait to register...important program decisions need to be made prior to the start of a program...waiting to register may lead to a program being cancelled.  Check out our programs and register today!

Registration Hours at the Community Center
To avoid any inconvenience at the time of registration for any department program, please be aware of our "Registration Hours" at the Community Center.  These hours differ from the Community Center's operating hours.  Program registration and the issuing/updating of Rec ID Cards is available during the following times*:

  • Monday:                    9:00am - 3:00pm
  • Tuesday - Friday:     9:00am - 9:00pm
  • Saturday:                  8:00am - 1:30pm (Closed on Sundays)

*Rec ID cards can NOT be issued or updated after 3:00pm on Mondays or after 1:30pm on Saturdays.  Registrations submitted to the Front Desk staff after 3:00pm on Mondays and after 1:30pm on Saturdays will be held and processed on the next business day. 

Program Registration Form
A "Program Registration Form" is required when registering for a program in person.  Please click here to access the form.  The Recreation Department will also have copies of this form available at the Community Center.  If there are any questions about this form and how to properly complete it, please call the Recreation Department at 941-3189.

On-line Registraion
You have access to on-line registration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!  In order to register on-line, Rec ID cards for the person(s) being registered must be current/valid.  Click on the link below to access our on-line registration site...

Advisory Board meetings are held at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 PM.  Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to join us.
