2016-2017 Youth Basketball Program
Registration is open and ongoing for the 2016-2017 Ossining Rec Youth Basketball Program.  Click here for program and registration information. Important reminder, the registration deadline is Friday, November 18th.  This is a firm deadline and registrations will not be accepted after this date.

Halloween Spooktacular!!! Monday, October 31st
On Halloween night please join the Recreation & Parks Department along with the Ossining Police Department as we present the "2016 Halloween Spooktacular". 
The event will take place along Main Street and Market Square from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Games, bounce houses, music, candy and MORE! The Ossining Rotary will also be on hand to serve free hot dogs and apple juice. Click here for event flyer.

COSTUME PARADE: to kick off the event we will have a parade from the Community Center to Main Street. We will be gathering at the lower parking lot of the Community Center at 5:30pm.  Please call the Recreation Office at 941-3189 with any questions.

StoryWalk @ Crawbuckie Nature Preserve
The Ossining Recreation & Parks Department is excited to be partnering with the Ossining UFSD and their ACTION Committee to bring "StoryWalk" to the community. The "StoryWalk" program is a family literacy project that helps build children’s interest in reading while encouraging healthy outdoor activity for both adults and children. This season's story is "Leaf Man" by Lois Ehlert, click here for flyer.  This story is being installed along the trail at Crawbuckie Nature Preserve located at the end of Beach Road. Please visit the trail, stroll through the woods while enjoying a wonderful children's book with a seasonal theme.

"Open Swim" Pool Passes
In order to access the pool for "Open Swim" all participants need a current Rec ID card and a current "Open Swim" Pass. Rec ID Cards are $10.00 for all residents, and an "Open Swim" pass is $10.00 for a Youth (resident) and $15.00 for an Adult (resident).  Contact the Recreation Department at 941-3189 with any questions regarding the pool or pool passes.

Fall 2016 - Dates to remember:

  • Fall Program Registration begins - Wednesday, September 7th
  • Fall Programs start - Monday, September 26th (with a few exceptions, will be noted in program brochure)


Registration Hours at the Community Center
To avoid any inconvenience at the time of registration for any department program, please be aware of our "Registration Hours" at the Community Center.  These hours differ from the Community Center's operating hours.  Program registration and the issuing/updating of Rec ID Cards is available during the following times*:

  • Monday:                    9:00am - 3:00pm
  • Tuesday - Friday:     9:00am - 9:00pm
  • Saturday:                  8:00am - 1:30pm (Closed on Sundays)

*Rec ID cards can NOT be issued or updated after 3:00pm on Mondays or after 1:30pm on Saturdays.  Registrations submitted to the Front Desk staff after 3:00pm on Mondays and after 1:30pm on Saturdays will be held and processed on the next business day. 

Program Registration Form
A "Program Registration Form" is required when registering for a program in person.  Please click here to access the 2016 Program Registration Form.  If you are registering for one of our programs or purchasing a pool pass, a valid Recreation ID Card or "Rec ID" is required. You have the option of updating an existing Rec ID card on the Program Registration Form.

Rec ID & Membership Form
In order to obtain a "Rec ID" a "Recreation ID Card & Membership Form" must be completed.  Click here for the 2016 Recreation ID Card & Membership Form.

Please note, the above forms are also always available at the Recreation Office at the Community Center.  If there are any questions about how to properly complete these forms or when you need to complete these forms, please call the Recreation Department at 914-941-3189.

On-line Registration
You have access to on-line registration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!  In order to register on-line, Rec ID cards for the person(s) being registered must be current/valid.  Click on the link below to access our on-line registration site...

Advisory Board meetings are held at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 PM.  Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to join us.
