As the Village's Chief Fiscal Officer and Receiver of Taxes,the Village Treasurer is responsible for the collection, disbursement, investment, and accounting of all Village funds. Included in the Treasurer's responsibilities is the preparation of the annual budget, the levy and collection of all Village taxes and assessments, water billing and collection, accounts receivable and payable, capital financings, payroll, accounting, cash management and electronic data processing. Under an intermunicipal agreement, the Village Treasureralso serves the Town Comptroller for the Town of Ossining.
Village taxes are levied on January 1 of each year and payable in two installments. Installment # 1 is due no later than January 31 Installment # 2 is due no later than July 31
The Village of Ossining supplies water to approximately 5,800 customers inside and outside the Village boundaries. Water bills are mailed and due quarterly depending on the cycle. Payment due date depends on the billing cycle and the zone.
