Ossining Parks and Recreation Superintendent Henry Atterbury Named Recipient of the 2008 Rosemarie Siragusa Memorial Youth Service Award The Rosemarie Siragusa Memorial Youth Service Award honors an outstanding individual who has demonstrated a commitment to serving youth and families. The award also recognizes adults, aged 21 and over, who have made major contributions towards the youth of their communities. For over 25 years, Rosemarie Siragusa volunteered as an advocate for youth, particularly in the area of education. She was a founder and Chairman of the Westchester County Youth Board. She was involved in the local, county and state levels of the PTA, and served as the President of the Yonkers Council of PTAs. Rosemarie was also a trustee and officer of the Yonkers Board of Education. This year the Westchester County Youth Bureau and Youth Board selected Henry Atterbury who epitomizes the value system and service priorities of caring, knowledge and concern for youth that Rosemarie Siragusa demonstrated throughout her life.
