Donate a used Bike to the Get a Bike - Ride a Bike Program The Ossining Rotary Club and the Ossining Recreation and Parks Department are co-sponsoring a “Recycle Your Bike” program.We will be collecting used bikes at the Community Center. The Rotary Club will work to refurbish the bikes and then we will offer the bikes free (while they last) to any child in Ossining who would like one. The Ossining Police Athletic League has agreed to provide 50 new bike helmets to the first 50 children who take a bike. We will collect bikes up until November 27th. If you have a bike in good or fair condition (minor repairs are ok) please bring it to the OssiningCommunity Center and leave it by the pool center entrance. Children’s bikes are preferred. Ossining Public Library Teen Movie Nights The library will be showing movies for teens in their theater.Admission and refreshments for these events are free. * "The Kress Family Legacy" will be the topic of an up-comingprogram on Wednesday, November 14 @ 7:30 p.m. Steven Worthy will offer a multi-media presentation about the Kress family who owned a 72 acre estate bordering the Towns of Ossining and New Castle from 1916-1959. Today we know the Ossining area as the Cedar Lane Park. The Kress family was famous for the 4005, 10, & 25 cent stores they started, as well as collectors of some of the world's most famous pieces of art, now in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. 55 Alive Safe Driving Course will be offered at the library on Wednesday, November 28 and Thursday, November 29.
