Two Public Meetings on November 29 and Dec 3 Begin Public Comment Period
(November 26, 2007) After almost two years of work, including soliciting extensive public input, Ossining’s Comprehensive Plan Committee released a draft last week, Mayor Bill Hanauer announced today.“The draft plan is truly a collaboration between the residents of Ossining, our consultants Philips Priess & Shapiro, and the dedicated committee,” Hanauer commented. Comprehensive Plan Committee Chair John Codman agrees, saying, “ The Comprehensive Plan is a culmination of a large amount of work over the past two years which includes over 11, 500 responses from a Village wide survey, five public meetings, five focus group sessions, a month-long public comment period, and input from the Comprehensive Plan Committee, Zoning sub-committee, other village boards and committees, local organizations, and the Village’s consultants. The Village still has a large amount of work to do in the next year to finish this process.”
